Harris, a Brooklyn native, moved to Stone Ridge in 1978, and to Kingston in 2010. He has built six new homes (four on speculation) and renovated 10 others over the last four decades, learning a great deal in the process, making him a top advisor about home construction, renovation and development.He created Westwood Metes & Bounds Realty in 1978 based on values of commitment, knowledge, service, and integrity, and was its supervising broker for 40 years. After selling the company in 2018 to Dutchess County’s market leader, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Hudson Valley Properties, Harris took on a role providing coaching, mentoring, and inspiration for the Clement, Brooks & Safier Team's newer members.

Harris now enjoys direct interactions with buyer and seller clients. His knowledge garnered through tens of thousands of transactions, enables him to serve his clients in ways that most agents are unable to. He enjoys helping make dreams reality for his clients.

Harris is also a former two-term President of the Ulster County Board of REALTORS®, a former two-term President of the Multiple Listing Service of Ulster County, and an instructor in Ethics for the Board of REALTORS® for 12 years. He’s been honored as Real Estate Agent of the Year, and Real Estate Agent Emeritus.

He currently serves on the Board of the Boys and Girls Club of Kingston and is Chair of Ulster County Board of REALTORS® Professional Standards
